Electronica is going to be big this year. As the trade fair gets ready to celebrate its 60th anniversary, the Messe München fairgrounds will be packed with exhibitors and fair attendees. All 18 exhibition halls will be utilized this year, meaning 150,000 square meters will be split between over 2,100 exhibitors and more than 69,783 visitors.
Talk about an overwhelming but exciting experience!
Since electronica is so big, we recommend bringing comfortable shoes and a refillable water bottle. The best way to enjoy the sights and sounds at the fair is to be comfortable. Make sure to stop by Sourceability at booth #379 in Hall B5 so you can talk to some of our experts while you recuperate.
To ensure a smooth trip, international visitors and Munich natives alike should take the time to read electronica’s rules and recommendations about traffic while attending. Visitors planning to drive to electronica can pay 14 euros per day for the outdoor car park or 17 euros per day for the multi-story car park. The Messe München fairgrounds is located directly next to the A94 freeway, where there will be signage to guide you to the parking areas.
If you are an exhibitor, electronica will use an IT-supported system to increase efficiency and organization. Electronica has provided a Traffic Guide that contains all access regulations for setup, fair, and dismantling. Review it with your team in the weeks and days before the event to ensure better safety and planning.
For visitors and exhibitors who are not driving to the fair, there are other ways to get to the Messe München fairgrounds. The Messe München and ICM—Internationales Congress Center München are directly connected to Munich’s public transportation system. The fairgrounds are next to the two subway (U-Bahn) stops, Messestadt West and Messestadt Ost of line U2. For events at the ICM—International Congress Center Messe München, exit at the stop Messestadt West.
You can reach the exhibition center from the Munich Central Station without changing trains for about 20 minutes. Tickets can be purchased from Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft (MVG), Münchner Verkehrsverbund (MVV), and Deutsche Bahn (DB) (tariff zone M).
Please note that the Print@home Ticket does not entitle holders to the free use of public transportation operated by MVG, MVV, or DB. Make sure you pay attention to your travel plans to see if you need to purchase train tickets for the event.
Above all, remember to have your electronica ticket! You can purchase your ticket for electronica 2024 on its official website, where day rates and group ticket information are readily available.
